Below are some brief listening exercises that will help you to practise your listening skills. In each one, a native speaker talks about himself or herself. For each one, I have included some translations to help you piece the text together and some simple questions. You will also find some Hörtexte from the German Island Podbean embedded at the bottom of this page.

What you’ll notice is that these voices will become easier and easier to understand as you continue to learn.
